We at Texas Housers remain uncompromising in our mission to work beside low-income households and communities of color who have been denied the basic right to a safe, sanitary, and decent home of their choosing. We will never waiver from our purpose.

When we talk about effecting change, we are doing this in all possible avenues. We are working with community to build up our own solutions to issues like disaster recovery, but we’re also working to hold political leaders accountable for aid, preparedness, and how the muscle of government should be best used. And to be clear, this works. Discuss, but don’t compromise who you are. Be realistic, but don’t limit your goals to small change.

And we pursue this change in so many avenues be it fighting for fair housing, the expansion of affordable housing for low-income Texans, ensuring living standards are elevated and maintained, establishing tenant rights in their homes and within the legal system, and so much more.
