The Houston Chronicle reports…
Harris County Commissioners Court on Tuesday replaced the board chairman of the Harris County Housing Authority, starting what appears will be an extended shake-up at the agency following revelations of imprudent spending. …
Tuesday’s appointment comes as the authority is negotiating with CEO Guy Rankin IV about the terms of his departure from the agency. Rankin’s contract states that if he is fired without cause, he receives a year’s pay, $242,000, in severance. If he is fired for cause, he receives nothing.
