Our partners at buildingcommunityWORKSHOP recently produced this video, which explains the impact that a pilot housing program to rebuild homes after disasters in a quick and cost-effective manner has had for Texas residents. The current system of rebuilding after natural disasters takes far too long, costs far too much and doesn’t seem to be based on any lessons that may be gleaned from previous disasters. The Disaster Recovery Housing Program seeks to change all that, moving families into new, locally-built homes within three to six months. We’re proud to be involved in this important effort.
