We are just days away from our annual event spotlighting those who have done extraordinary work to fight for low-income communities in Texas, our 2024 Houser Awards on Nov, 12! If you have not purchased your tickets yet and would like to join us in Austin, please visit this link

It is our great pleasure to acknowledge the work of San Antonio organizer Kayla Miranda, Tanya Lavelle of Disability Rights Texas, and The Honorable Dolores Lozano and The Honorable Steve Duble of Harris County Justice of the Peace court. Each of these individuals has worked to redesign systems with equity in mind and improve the lives of low-income Texans. We are incredibly proud to call each of them one of our own.

Texas Housers will never be deterred from our mission to ensure that low-income households and people of color all over this state can live in a home of their choosing that is affordable, safe, and accessible. While recent election results may alter how we fight, they do not change the fire and dedication with which we fight. We have even more reason than before to stand beside low-income communities and be brave in the face of inequality.
