This morning CFED unveiled two sets of materials covering Manufactured Housing in South Texas: a Data Snapshot, which illustrates the role of manufactured homes in the South Texas affordable housing market, who lives in them and how they serve the housing needs of their owners, and a Policy Snapshot, which describes how the Texas and local South Texas policy environments affect owners of manufactured homes, affordable housing developers using factory-built housing and community organizers working with residents to preserve their communities.
Fun Fact: 11% of Lower RioGrade Valley residents live in manufactured homes, and 23% of Lower RioGrade Valley Manufactured Homes are more than 33 years old.
